Solenoid switch questions
What is a solenoid switch?
A solenoid switch, also called a starter solenoid, is an electromagnetic switch in the starting circuit. A small current from the key energises it, it closes heavy contacts, and battery current flows to the starter motor so the engine can crank.
What are the signs of a failing solenoid switch?
A single click or repeated clicking when starting, no response from the starter with a charged battery, starting that works only sometimes, or a starter that keeps running after the engine fires. The battery, cables and starter motor can cause similar symptoms, so check the circuit first.
Which vehicles do your solenoid switches cover?
Commercial vehicles, including trucks, tractors, earth movers, three-wheelers and four-wheelers.
How do I choose the right solenoid switch?
It has to match the vehicle voltage, the starter motor and the mounting. Send us the vehicle make and model with a photo of the switch currently fitted and we will confirm the match.
Can I order in bulk?
Yes. Workshops, retailers, distributors, fleet operators and export buyers can send quantity and vehicle details for a quote.
Need a solenoid switch?
